This article talks about the importance of romance writers in the literary world. Bringing up the fact that romance novels (and writers) "are not given much respect in elite literary circles". The article centered on the event, "Romance Writers Speak", hosted at Humboldt State University where four local romance writers were given the chance to talk about their work as writers, and about the importance of women speaking and writing on issues that affect other women.
